My name is Lauren Kelley, I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker Associate. I've worked with individuals and families in various settings over the past 10 years including in schools, healthcare, and non-profits. I specialize in supporting clients who are struggling with anxiety and stress, parenting/family life, and childhood emotional/behavioral concerns. I use trauma-informed and culturally sensitive interventions such as EMDR, CBT, PCIT, MBSR, and Exposure. My style is warm, inquisitive, and empowering. I’m passionate about supporting others through challenges, transitions, or transformations. Together, we will make space for the many parts of you — to heal, grow, and maybe even laugh along the way.

I’m so glad you’re here.

About Me

  • In session, I focus on understanding how every part of your life is interconnected, from your thoughts and emotions to your relationships and the broader world around you. Our mental health doesn't exist in a vacuum; it's deeply influenced by our experiences, family dynamics, and social context. Together, we will explore how thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected, and also consider the impact of relationships, family, and broader social environment. With the use of various evidence-based approaches to treatment (such as EMDR, CBT, PCIT, MBSR, and Exposure therapy), we will work on creating positive changes that resonate throughout your life. My goal is to help you feel heard and supported as we work on practical solutions to improve your well-being and navigate this period with more ease. My approach is warm and supportive, with a touch of humor to help ease the journey and make our sessions feel more comfortable.

  • I'm a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Work Associate (License # SC61290100) with 10 years of experience working with children, families, and adults in various roles. I hold a Master of Social Work, Boise State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Human Services, Western Washington University. I currently work part-time in school based mental health and spend the remainder of my time in private practice. My previous experience includes positions with PeaceHealth Pediatrics, PeaceHealth Emergency Dept, and Lydia Place. I am always actively engaged in continuing education to better support my clients. I am trained in EMDR, a type of therapy that uses body-based techniques, like guided eye movements, to help process and heal from past traumatic experiences. It works by helping the brain and body release stuck emotions, making it easier to move forward with less pain and distress.

  • I reside in Whatcom county, with my family. When I'm not in session, you can find me soaking up time outside, exploring new places, reading, gardening, or doing house projects!
