Therapy should be action-oriented, deeply supportive, and tailored to real life.

Life in Whatcom County

Whatcom County is home for my family and me. As a parent of small children myself, I know firsthand the everyday joys and chaotic realness of raising a family! Navigating the messy, wonderful world of parenting keeps me deeply connected to the same rhythms as many of the clients I serve. Beyond the therapy office, I love exploring local outdoor spots with my family, tending to the garden, diving into a good book, or tackling our latest home project.

How I Work

Therapy shouldn't feel like sitting in a room talking in circles week after week, it should give you tangible, real-world relief. My background in pediatric behavioral health, school systems, and private practice has taught me that real healing happens when we combine deep compassion with concrete action.

Mental health doesn't exist in a vacuum. Whether I’m working with a child, a parent, or an adult, I look at the whole picture—how your thoughts, emotions, family dynamics, and environment interact.

  • For Trauma Recovery: I offer EMDR and targeted EMDR Intensives to help clients process perinatal trauma, difficult birth experiences, and acute or complex trauma efficiently, skipping months of slow-moving weekly appointments.

  • For Child & Youth Anxiety: I use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), play-informed methods, and somatic tools to help kids and young adults understand their nervous systems, build practical coping strategies, and face big fears with confidence.

  • For Parents: I specialize in SPACE(Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions), giving parents a step-by-step roadmap to reduce anxiety and OCD accommodations at home, without having to drag a resistant child into therapy.

Above all, my approach is warm, grounded, and direct—with a touch of humor to make our sessions feel comfortable and human. My goal is to help you feel genuinely heard while giving you practical, actionable tools to navigate life with far more ease.
